"Your underwriting department truly is excellent. I recently had a case where a prospect told me he would buy life insurance, but was convinced he wouldn’t qualify. I told him, ‘You never know until you apply,’ and he agreed to move forward.
“As we completed the prequalification questionnaire, he disclosed one preexisting condition after another. By the time we finished, I honestly thought he might be right about not qualifying. However, about two weeks later, I heard back from the underwriting team that they would consider the risk at a Table B.
