Richard “Dick” Langhough serves as Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage. With more than 34 years in the financial services industry, Dick specializes in working with nontraditional life producers such as Independent Property and Casualty agents to provide their clients with Business and Estate Planning services.

Prior to joining HCB, he worked as a Registered Rep for Equitable Life Insurance. He then spent 16 years with CNA Financial as a highly successful Sales Broker and Manager. In 1996 the company transferred him to Charlotte to open a new office for the Mid-Atlantic region. Later he joined BISYS-Crump-BB&T Life Insurance where he again started a new Brokerage office and served as Vice President of Management, Sales Executive and Business Develop Specialist.

Dick excels in driving significant agency revenue utilizing Advanced Planning concepts including insurance, annuity, long-term care and retirement tools with clients.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Arizona State University. Dick holds a Life, Health and Accident insurance license and maintains a FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative) and Series 63 (NASAA Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination).

Dick lives in Charlotte with his wife Melanie. He has 3 boys and enjoys all sports. He has played competitive golf, coached basketball, baseball and soccer.
