As Vice President, Joseph specializes in business, retirement, and estate planning strategies with the use of insurance products – life insurance, long-term care, disability, and annuities. Joseph serves on Highland’s VP Advisory Board and was a 2017 Capital Club Member, an award given to the top performers in his field of peers.
Prior to joining Highland in 2012, Joseph was a wholesaler for Lincoln Financial Group in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was part of the newly-formed Edward Jones Investments dedicated team for life insurance distribution. In 2011, he was awarded the President’s Award as the number one performer in the country within his channel. Additionally, he was named to the Lincoln Financial Distributors Field Advisory Council from August 2010 to February 2012.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Joseph pursued and was awarded his Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) advanced designations from the American College. The CLU® focuses on life insurance and risk management, while the focus of ChFC® is financial planning. Joseph is a member of the Twin Cities Estate Planning Council. He holds the Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) licenses.
Joseph, his wife Alyson, and their daughter Amelia reside in Edina, Minnesota.
