As Vice President, Joseph specializes in business, retirement, and estate planning solutions involving the use of insurance products – life insurance, long-term care, disability, annuities, and life settlements. His planning is conducted in close collaboration with clients’ investment advisors, private bankers, family offices, financial planners, accountants, and estate attorneys.
Prior to joining Highland in 2012, Joseph began his career with Lincoln Financial Group in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was part of a team dedicated to servicing a separate financial institution’s life insurance planning needs. In 2011, he was awarded the President’s Award as the top performer in the country. Additionally, he was named to the Lincoln Financial Distributors Field Advisory Council, serving from 2010 to 2012. Joseph currently serves on Highland’s Advisory Board and has been a consistent member of the Capital Club, an award given to the top performers in his field of peers.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Joseph pursued and was awarded his CLU® and ChFC® advanced designations from The American College. The CLU focuses on life insurance and risk management, while the focus of ChFC is financial planning. Joseph is a member of the Twin Cities Estate Planning Council. He holds the Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.
Joseph, his wife Alyson, and their children Amelia, Oscar, and Henrik reside in Edina, Minnesota.
