About

Jennifer Tierney Connelly serves as SVP, Head of Business Development & Relationship Management at Highland Capital Brokerage. Connelly has more than 23 years of experience in financial services, specializing in life insurance distribution for the past 20 years.

Connelly serves as Executive Leader for our key B2B customers for all channels (institutional banks and wirehouses, independent broker dealers, and RIAs), across all life, LTC, and DI insurance product lines. She creates top-down distribution strategy with our Relationship Management and Business Development Team in conjunction with our B2B customers to deploy insurance initiatives to our sales teams with the core goal of protecting their clients’ assets. Connelly brings new B2B partners alongside the Business Development field VPs to add new insurance partnership opportunities to Highland. She is also responsible for recruiting life, LTC, and DI sales VPs for our Signature Private Team, Signature VP Team, Risk Management Consulting Sales Team, and Osaic Sales Teams. These sales teams specialize in using a consultative approach in the ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth market with our various B2B customers in institutional accounts, banks, IBDs, and RIAs.

Prior to Highland, Connelly worked at John Hancock Life Insurance as Vice President of Sales & Distribution where she was responsible for the sales and management of all national brokerage distribution, including multiple independent marketing organizations, producer groups, and independent broker dealers. She was also responsible for the sales management of all life brokerage salespeople. Connelly is currently a member of Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU) and served on the Brokerage Task Force and Women’s Task Force of AALU. She was a featured presenter at the largest women’s conference in the U.S. and has also been the Executive Keynote speaker at an internal John Hancock Women’s Conference. In 2016, she was recognized by LIMRA as “Top 25 Rising Stars in Distribution.”

Connelly has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Ithaca College, holds her Massachusetts Life and Long-Term Care licenses, Series 6, Series 26, and Series 63 licenses.

Connelly and her husband, daughter, and kitty are longtime residents of Charlestown, Mass. When they aren’t being city dwellers, you can usually find them skiing, hiking, and enjoying the fresh mountain air in Vermont.
