Eleanor Johnson, Founding Principal, has been in the financial services industry for 38 years, including previously serving at Highland for 25 years as Founding Managing Principal and board member. Eleanor and her team bring a depth of unmatched experience and expertise to the financial advisors and independent agents with whom they work. Even though she is known for her leadership skills and technical expertise, Eleanor is highly appreciated for her ability to work with clients and their advisory team to make complex planning concepts understandable. A nationally recognized speaker who provides engaging ideas that can be immediately incorporated into a practice, Eleanor is a deeply respected member of the insurance industry. She has served as insurance company executive, founding partner and major shareholder of Highland, and insurance professional working directly with clients and their advisors at the point of sale. Immediately prior to returning to Highland, Eleanor managed institutional account distribution at John Hancock, ultimately working across all channels as a keynote speaker.
She has earned CPA, CLU®, and CGMA® designations and is a qualifying member of Forum 400, a former AALU board member, and founder of the AALU brokerage task force.
In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys skiing, hiking, golf, travel, and enjoying a great glass of wine with friends. She splits her time between her home in the Seattle area and Scottsdale, Arizona, where her daughter and son-in-law live.
