Donna Smith serves as Assistant Vice President, New Business at Highland, and has more than 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, with 25 of those years at Highland Capital Brokerage.
Out of high school, Smith started her career at Keystone Financial Group processing new business and handling bookkeeping for the firm. She then moved with the General Agent and Office Manager to New England Financial Group, working in the areas of new business, licensing, bookkeeping, and policy service.
In 1994, she, along with one of the General Agents and CFO left New England Financial Group to start The Summit Group, Inc. While at The Summit Group, Smith took on additional responsibilities including commissions and more advanced bookkeeping. In 1998, The Summit Group was acquired by Highland. Smith continued with the King of Prussia Highland firm and eventually became the office’s Operational Manager. In 2015 when changes were made and Highland became “one,” Smith took on the role of Relationship Case Manager – New Business. In October of 2023, she continues as an RCM as well as an AVP for New Business.
Smith is originally from Shillington, Pa., and continues to reside in the area with her husband and son.
