About
Donald R. Payne, Jr., serves as Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage. His career in the financial services industry began in 1990, and he now specializes in advanced life insurance placement in the estate and business planning marketplace. Payne works closely with his clients’ professional advisors to find solutions that best fit their current objectives, while also providing long-term flexibility and premium efficiency.
Prior to joining Highland, Payne held leadership roles at multiple independent producer firms providing the best options to fill the insurance needs of high-net-worth families and their businesses, including high-profile celebrities, professional athletes, and business owners.
Payne holds the following designations and licenses: Chartered Life Underwriter®, Chartered Finance Consultant®, Certified Financial Consultant®, Series 6, 63, 65 – as well as Life and Health, and Long-Term Care licenses in multiple states. He is a graduate of East Carolina University with an undergraduate degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration.
Payne moved to South Florida a few years ago after being a lifelong resident in North Carolina, where his parents and adult children still live. He is a cigar enthusiast who enjoys good company and pleasant conversation.
