About
Dawn Buckley serves as a Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage, with a specific focus on property and casualty (P&C) and benefit organizations. Dawn works in partnership with field Vice Presidents across the country to support and deliver the full value proposition of Highland Capital Brokerage to the multiline agencies with which we partner. Dawn brings over 21 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry.
Dawn was led to the life insurance industry after her father passed away prematurely at the age of 49. She experienced the value of life insurance first-hand when her 38-year-old, stay-at-home mother was not forced to go to work to support three children. Their family was able to stay in their home and maintain the lifestyle to which they were accustomed.
Prior to joining Highland Capital Brokerage, Dawn served as the individual life, disability insurance (DI), and long-term care (LTC) specialist within a national P&C firm. Dawn specializes in assessing the needs of a client and providing strategies via Life, DI and LTC products. Her perspective as a producing agent within a multiline agency enables Dawn to provide best practices in launching and sustaining a Life/DI/LTC initiative within a P&C or Benefits organization.
Dawn holds licenses for life, health, LTC, and P&C, and maintains a Series 6 (Investment Company Products/ Variable Contracts Limited Representative) and a Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law) license.
Dawn has three grown children and lives with her husband Dan, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She is passionate about the mission of the American Red Cross and serves as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the local chapter. She enjoys Zumba and walking on the beach to stay active and healthy.
