John Maeder serves as Vice President, New Business at Highland, where he brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has a proven track record of operational leadership. He’s responsible for driving new business strategy, optimizing underwriting and case management processes, and delivering scalable strategies that enhance client outcomes.

Throughout his tenure, John has advanced through a series of leadership roles, building deep expertise across new business operations. He has led initiatives to elevate performance by developing high-performing teams, strengthening training programs, and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.

With a foundation in sales, John brings a client-centric perspective to operational strategy, combining technical expertise, disciplined execution, and innovative problem-solving to create measurable value for partners and stakeholders.

Originally from Southern California, he resides in eastern Washington with his wife and three children.
