Hugh Singletary

Hugh Singletary serves as Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage. Hugh has been guiding business owners, executives, and high-net-worth families through complex financial and legacy planning for over 25 years. He specializes in designing sophisticated planning strategies that protect assets, optimize income, and support multi-generational wealth transfer. He’s widely recognized for translating complex insurance and financial planning concepts into clear, actionable strategies that deliver long-term value. 

Prior to Highland, Hugh started an RIA, family office, and an agency that supported advisors and implemented advanced-planning strategies for their clients. Before Bison and Armis, Hugh spent more than 13 years at Highland. During that time, he managed a field force of 17 point-of-sale specialists, as well as conducting his own POS book of business in the warehouse and broker-dealer market. Prior to that, Hugh was the president of AIM Systems. At Aim, he directed a field force of 23 life specialists around the country, as well as calling on the firm’s clients, which included Citibank, Smith Barney, UBS, Janney, and Wells Fargo, among others. 

Hugh is Series 6 licensed, as well as maintaining his Life, Accident, and Health license, and his Long-Term Care license. 

Hugh lives in the Buckhead area of Atlanta with his wife, whom he married in 1994. They have three grown children. His free time is spent golfing, playing tennis, exercising, or spending time at their family retreat in Hilton Head, S.C.
