Midhat “Middi” Dzihic, Vice President for Highland Capital Brokerage, has worked in financial services for nearly nine years helping advisors build successful insurance practices and supporting their estate planning, diversified retirement income plans, and charity planning needs.

Middi started his career as a licensed banker with Wells Fargo in 2014 before moving to a private banker role and then a financial advisor associate position, supporting more than 1500 clients. In 2018, he joined Symetra’s annuity sales desk as an internal wholesaler, where he exceeded sales goals by almost 175 percent, hitting total sales of $220 million in 2018. From there, Middi joined Northwestern Mutual to bring “orphan” clients back into the business, reigniting more than 250 client relationships through re-evaluation of their policies and financial goals. After Northwestern Mutual, Middi joined Starion Bank in North Dakota, where he assisted small business clients in insurance strategies, buy-sell, and retirement plans, and brought over 1,000 new clients to the bank.

Middi holds his Series 6 and Series 63, and is insurance-licensed in over 30 states.

Middi’s heritage is Bosnian (former Yugoslavia), but has lived in Minnesota for most of his life. He currently lives in Fargo, North Dakota, with his wife, Medina, and their daughter, Emalina. In his free time, Middi enjoys woodworking, fishing, cooking, and sports.
