Angela Blackburn

Angela Blackburn, FLMI, serves as Assistant Vice President, Carrier Management and HighCap Financial, for Highland Capital Brokerage. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry as a licensed life and long-term care agent, Angela is focused on building relationships by listening and offering solutions for planning strategy design and implementation to achieve the highest customer success. 

As AVP, Customer Experience, Angela works across the enterprise to deliver exceptional experiences, drive successful outcomes, and advocate for customers. As a problem solver, Angela is committed to the best outcome, believing that each advisor and client has their own story, and enjoys customizing plans to clients’ unique circumstances, needs, values, and vision. 

As AVP, HighCap Financial, Angela is responsible for the daily management of HighCap Financial, the company’s elite producer group for independent advisors, focusing her energy on helping HighCap members grow their practices. Angela’s versatility, recognized in her 2018 Highland Most Versatile Award, allows her drive for excellence and determination to meet and exceed expectations for HighCap members and their customers. 

Prior to serving at Highland, Angela worked in sales, operational, and managerial roles with Capitas Financial, Guardian Life, Paul Revere Group, and Connecticut Mutual Life. 

Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from North Carolina State University, holds her life, accident, health and long-term care licenses, is a Fellow of the Life Member Institute (FMLI), and a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. 

Angela’s greatest joy is her family and spending free time with her husband, Nathan, and daughters, Bess and Grace. She also enjoys music, scrapbooking, tennis, quilting, and traveling.
