Institutional Accounts
Institutional accounts are an important part of Highland Capital Brokerage's overall distribution plan. We define institutions as banks, wirehouses, regional broker dealers, and CPA networks.
Highland Capital Brokerage has become a significant player in the institutional life insurance distribution market. Our business model includes back office processing, point of sale expertise, top advanced agent recruiting and compensation, and standardization across markets and geographic coverage, which places the group in a class by itself nationally.
"FOCUS" is the Highland Capital Brokerage institutional account strategy, and we currently focus on the top national accounts that make up over 90% of total institutional account production. We are focused in growing distribution through depth vs. breadth. The core values we have adopted include: objectivity and integrity, coverage, consistency, and preferred access to carriers and products. The most important core value is the mantra that the institution owns the client and is quarterback for the end client relationship, while Highland Capital Brokerage's client is the institution and our goal is to create a win-win-win for the client, the institution, and Highland Capital Brokerage.
Part of our commitment to the institutional market comes through ongoing relationship building. This relationship building takes place at the corporate level, institution to institution, and at the market level, Sales Vice President to financial consultant.
