C. Nick Catrini serves as Managing Principal of the Highland Captital Brokerage - New York Metro office.
Nick serves on the Highland Capital Brokerage Advisory Committee
and has been the sole principal of Cranford, New Jersey, based Consolidated Brokerage Services since 1982.
From 1969 to 1979, Nick held several key positions with Aetna Life and Casualty,
during which he created a school for property and casualty agents still in use today
and now accredited for state Life and Health licensing requirements.
From 1979 to 1982, he was instrumental in the initiation and enrollment of the single most successful sale of
Retired Lives Reserve (RLR) involving a Fortune 100 Company.
Nick is active in several professional societies, is frequently asked
to serve on major insurance companies' General Agent Advisory boards,
and was a founding partner of the R.E. Lee Group/US L.P.,
of which he had the honor of serving as its first Chairman and is currently serving on the
Board of Governors of Forsgate Country Club.

Robert G. DiMeo, is Managing Principal of the Highland Capital Brokerage - Los Angeles office. Bob started his career in 1980 with Equitable as a life insurance agent and became the district manager in 1981. Bob joined Merrill Lynch in 1983, working as the Estate Planning Specialist in the Life Department. From 1988 to 1990, he continued in this area at Dean Witter. In 1991, he joined R.E. Lee International as an Associate General Agent and became a Vice President in 1997. Bob's vast experience in the advanced sales arena has credited him with over 4000 face-to-face estate-planning interviews with brokers and clients.

Marty Dooley serves as Managing Principal for the Highland Capital Brokerage - Milwaukee office.
Marty began his insurance career in 1985 as a Disability Sales Consultant in the UNUM Chicago
regional office. There he qualified for three Leaders Conference awards and was promoted to
Senior Sales Representative. In his third year with the company, Marty also had the
distinction of becoming the youngest Sales Representative to complete UNUM's Management
Training Program. In 1989, Marty joined Great-West Life's Chicago office as a
Senior Marketing Representative. During his two-year tenure, he was twice recognized
as both the Proficiency and New Producers Leader among his peers. By 1992, Marty became
the Branch Manager of Great-West Life's office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He is a student member of the American College and has served on the Milwaukee Chapter of CLU and ChFC membership committees. Marty is also a member of NALU and has been affiliated with GAMA and HIAA.

Trey Fairman, J.D., L.L.M., is Managing Principal of the Highland Capital Brokerage - San Diego office.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Trey received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance
from the University of Delaware and his Law Degree from the University of San Diego.
In addition, Trey was awarded a Master of Laws in Taxation from the San Diego School of
Law in May of 2001. Upon graduation from college, Trey was hired as a brokerage representative
for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Receiving a
promotion to Director of Advanced Sales, he was transferred to San Diego, California, in
January of 1995. He joined R.E. Lee in April of 1997 and is responsible for all of the
Highland Capital Brokerage partners in San Diego County. Trey focuses his attention on
partnering with financial consultants to provide estate and business planning solutions to
their wealthier clients.

Paul M. Harrington, CLU, serves as Principal of the Highland Capital Brokerage - Heartland office.
Paul has more than 11 years of experience in the insurance industry and specializes in providing a business support
role to financial professionals in the Personal, Estate Planning, and Executive Compensation markets.
Prior to joining the Heartland office, he was president and part owner of a family business and a national
director for a computer software firm serving the insurance industry.
He is an active member of both industry and community organizations.
He is a member in the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA),
and served as Past President for the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP) Indianapolis Chapter.
He is actively involved in the community through his Alma Mater, Butler University,
and past president of the Sigma Chi House Corporation.
He is also an active member and does fund raising for the Leukemia Society.
He attended Butler Univesity on a football scholarship and received a B.S. degree in Finance.
He is an active member of his church, serving as Campaign chair for the annual Diocese fundraiser
and as President of the parish council.

Christopher D. Heyn serves as Managing Principal of the Highland Captial Brokerage – Atlanta, South Florida, and Knoxville offices.
Chris entered the insurance industry in 1972 in the Property and Casualty agency business. As a partner in the firm C. W. Heyn and
Associates, he gravitated toward the life insurance field. In 1980 he became a full time career agent with Massachusetts Mutual Life
Insurance Company. In 1992, Chris entered the independent brokerage general agency business as president and managing partner of INSouth
Financial Group, a founding member of The R. E. Lee Group, US/LP. Chris serves as a member of the board of directors of The Atlanta
Society of Financial Service Professionals and is a member of the board of directors of The Link Counseling Center. He earned his
Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter degrees from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.

Eleanor I. Johnson is a Certified Public Accountant and Managing Principal of the Northwest
Offices of Highland Capital Brokerage, which includes offices in Seattle, Portland,
San Francisco, Honolulu, Salt Lake City, and Denver.
Eleanor and her team act as a resource to both institutional accounts and independent
insurance professionals to design and implement appropriate life insurance programs for
their clients. Areas of specialization include estate planning, retirement distribution
planning, and business succession planning strategies.
Eleanor is on the Board of Directors for the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting
(AALU). She also currently serves on the NFP Advisory Council and is the Chairperson of
the NFP Life Insurance Subcommittee. Eleanor is a frequent presenter on a variety of
estate planning and life insurance topics. She has been a featured speaker at the
annual meetings of both AALU and MDRT, and for several Estate Planning Councils across
the country.

Rick Keidan serves as Managing Principal of the Highland Captial Brokerage - Mid-Atlantic office and the Highland
Capital Brokerage - Charlotte office. Prior to that, Rick served as President and CEO of Highland Capital
Brokerage from 2002 to June 2007. Under his leadership, HCB enjoyed a 30% compound annual growth rate.
Prior to joining Highland Capital Brokerage, Rick served as President and Chief Operating
Officer of Phoenix Home Life’s broker dealer, W S Griffith and Company. Prior to
joining Phoenix, he was the Senior Vice President of Independent Distribution for
MetLife/New England.
Over the course of his career, Rick has had extensive experience in almost all aspects
of both the retail and the brokerage side of financial service distribution. He has spent
more than 30 years in the Life Insurance industry, including over 15 years of successful
personal production in addition to extensive field and corporate leadership roles.
He is an active member in numerous industry organizations including: National Association
of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies, Society of Financial Services Professionals, and
the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting.
A graduate of Penn State University, Rick and his wife Nancy have two sons, Geoffrey
and Matthew, and a daughter-in-law Michelle.

John T. Mulheran, CLU, ChFC, serves as Managing Principal for the Highland Capital Brokerage - Heartland office.
John’s primary duties include strategic guidance and management within the firm, identifying and developing
strategic relationships and working with key affiliates and clients in Estate Planning, Executive Compensation,
and Business Planning affairs. He is a 30-year veteran of Life Insurance, primarily in distribution,
but also in home office management positions. John served as board Chairman of Advantage Insurance Network (AIN)
from 1995 - 1999. He is the winner of numerous carrier and industry awards, including national sales leader
for (AIN) and is a recipient of The John L. Robinson award for the leading firm in the Highland Capital organization.
He is an active member of numerous industry organizations including: The Association for Advanced Life
Underwriting (AALU), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Society of Financial
Services Professionals (SFSP), and The American College Endowment (ACE). John attended The University of
St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN, where he majored in Business Administration. An active participant in local community
affairs, he served as sports commissioner for the 1987 Pan-American Games and in various roles for the 1991 Men's
PGA and 1993 USGA Women's Open and more recently as a contributor to the 2007 USGA Women’s Amateur. John and his
wife, Mollie, are also major contributors to Providence Christo Rey, a Jesuit high school for underprivileged inner
city youth. He is an active participant in his church, having served on parish council and as chair and organizer
for the annual fundraiser.

Michael Pariano serves as Managing Principal of the Highland Capital Brokerage - New England office.
He entered the life insurance brokerage business in 1981 and works with independent producers in
the design, implementation, and administration of their clients' estate, retirement, and business
plan needs. He specializes in helping representatives of other disciplines such as property and
casualty agents, employee benefits producers, stockbrokers, banks, and CPAs to diversify their
practices by selling life insurance products to fulfill their clients' objectives.
Michael graduated in 1981 with a BA degree from Kenyon College and has earned the
Chartered Life Underwriter designation. He is currently the President of the Connecticut
Estate and Tax Planning Council, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, and President of The Country Club of Farmington, Connecticut, as well as a member in several
trade associations.

Paul Pistilli serves as Managing Principal for the Highland Capital Brokerage - Mid-Atlantic office
and the Highland Capital Brokerage - Charlotte office. With more than 15 years of experience in
the financial services industry, he specializes in assisting institutional clients identify
cross-marketing and new client opportunities. Paul understands the needs and pressures of client
acquisition and has developed an on-going seminar series, which he conducts periodically for clients,
that assists clients in recognizing sales opportunities.
His background in planning for affluent individuals and business owners came prior to
joining HCB. Paul, co-founder of The Summit Group, Inc., helped grow the firm into a
multi-million dollar financial services marketing organization. While at The Summit Group
(who in 1998 became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Highland Capital Holding Corporation,
also the parent company for HCB), he was instrumental in the development and growth of
Highland's Wealth Strategies Group and the Non-Qualified Retirement Planning Group.
Before founding The Summit Group, Paul started his career in 1988 with The New England
Mutual Life Insurance Company as a corporate controller. After a few short years he
began to use his accounting and tax background for marketing purposes and started to
work extensively with corporate clients and the advanced marketing design team of
The New England.
A graduate of Temple University with a BS degree in Accounting, Paul received an
Honorable Discharge with Citations from the U.S. Air Force. Committed to personal and
professional development, he has earned several professional designations including
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.
In addition, Paul is a member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters,
National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Financial Planning Association,
Society for Financial Services Professionals, and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.

with The MONY Group. Most recently, Joe served as Senior Vice President of Business

Gary L. Wright serves as Managing Principal for the Highland Capital Brokerage - Chicago office.
Gary began his insurance career as a Brokerage Sales Representative with Great-West Life in 1981.
He was a Regional Sales Manager with UNUM from 1985 to 1989. From 1989 to 1992, Gary was the Regional
Manager for GWL in Chicago where he was a consistent Award of Excellence recipient and sat on
the Managers' Advisory Council. Gary conducted a brokerage sales study with DePaul University
in 1983 and co-authored an article on the results in the CLU Journal. This study has impacted
the way many insurance companies conduct brokerage distribution today. Gary was a founding member
of AIN. He has been a five-year National Management Award recipient and a three-year Master Agency Award
holder. He is an active member of the Strategic Coach program and has been a featured speaker on
several occasions working closely with Dan Sullivan, the founder.
